Maryland draws on analytics for new website

On this week’s episode of the Priorities Podcast, Maryland Assistant IT Secretary Stefanos Ghebrehewariat says the state’s new website design is informed by the elements that “95.5%” of users were looking for. Ghebrehewariat says the new site’s user experience emphasizes search and news, while also providing easier access to resources for state workers, who are often the site’s most frequent users. A little bit more coordination

The State and Local Government Cybersecurity Act that President Joe Biden signed this week will see the Department of Homeland Security's National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center sharing more resources in the fight against cyber threats. The new law will "equip state and local governments with essential resources to keep our communities safe," said Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Colo., one of its original sponsors. Benjamin Freed has details.
