Florida man wants IT agency to 'win'

Florida has shuttered and relaunched its technology department four times in the past 15 years, but state CIO James Grant things are going to be different for the Florida Digital Service that he's headed since the agency's 2020 establishment. After taking a run at coaching college football earlier in his career, Grant retains some of that subculture’s ideas and vernacular. Cities urged to ‘think boldy’ about ‘historic and monumental’ federal funding

During our IT Modernization Summit last month, Grant talked about how he's spent the last two years trying to move on from Florida tech policy's "sordid past" and toward a future in which the state provides excellent cybersecurity services and strong support to agencies.
