Interview: Washington State Senior Policy Adviser Bill Schrier
Bill Schrier, senior policy adviser in Washington States Office of the Chief Information Officer, joined StateScoop Radio to discuss what current projects he is focused on, the latest on the FirstNET and what trends he is seeing in the state information technology space.
One of the key areas of focus for him is in leveraging open data in new ways. Schrier, who spent nearly nine years as the chief technology officer for Seattle, said the state wants to harness civic-minded developers who can use state data in new ways, similar to how the federal government and others states have used it in recent years.
