Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is sending new voting equipment to Coffee County after video surfaced of a physical breach.

Judges ordered the Otero County Commission, which had cited falsehoods about voting equipment, to certify results of the June 7 primary.

A judge stripped Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters was of her election-supervision duties for sharing sensitive information with conspiracy theorists.

"It has to stop," Gabriel Sterling, who manages the state's voting systems, said after a young technician received death threats fueled by far-right social media.

The Dominion Voting Systems equipment, which is the target of baseless rumors promoted by President Donald Trump, was an "unqualified success," officials said.

Georgia must completely phase out its current inventory of paperless voting machines before the state's 2020 presidential primary.

The state will spend $107 million to acquire new touchscreen voting machines that print out paper ballots in time for the 2020 presidential election.
