A new partnership between Via and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority will provide on-demand transit services to an underserved area.

Residents of the towns of Georgetown and Millsboro, Delaware can now book transportation through a new app from Via, the company announced this week.

The ride-hailing service is the first of its kind, according to executives from the transportation company Via, which is leading the one-year pilot.

Via executives said the acquisition of Remix will provide its city customers "enhanced capabilities" for transit planning, scheduling and operations.

A new app from Via Transportation is hoped to provide greater accessibility as residents of Georgetown, Delaware, consider dozens of transit options.

A shuttle system, powered by ride-sharing software company Via, will introduce microtransit to Central Ohio.

The mayor says the experiment could allow the city to close some of its less-used bus lines.
