Chris Niehaus, senior director of Microsoft’s Cloud Computing Program, sat down with StateScoop at the 2014 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington, D.C., to discuss current trends in public sector cloud computing.
Niehaus described how the federal, state and local governments are approaching cloud computing and the biggest challenges they face, along with how Microsoft is making particular efforts to work with them on the vast number of requirements each needs to fulfill for cloud deployment. Another issue Niehaus talked about is the emergence of the cloud brokerage model and how federal government agencies are looking to it for their cloud computing needs.
