The National Association of State Chief Information Officers on Wednesday announced 30 finalists for its annual State IT Recognition Awards, showcasing some of the most impactful projects on data, digital government and process innovation.

The group said the finalists, which were chosen from 90 submissions from its membership, were selected by wide panel of member states and territories.

According to NASCIO’s announcement, finalists were chosen based on “the use of information technology to address critical business problems, more easily connect citizens to their government, improve business processes and create new opportunities that improve the lives of citizens.”

Winners in each category will be announced at NASCIO’s annual conference on Oct. 13.
