South Carolina Interactive to continue state's eGov solution

South Carolina, LLC Selected to Continue Providing eGovernment Services for the State

South Carolina Interactive, LLC has been selected to continue as the out-sourced e-government provider for the state of South Carolina following a competitive rebid process. The state awarded the company a five-year contract that includes renewals that the state can exercise to extend the contract through July 2021.

The new contract went into effect July 16, 2014, and was approved by the Information Technology Management Office, on behalf of the Division of State Information Technology.

South Carolina Interactive, LLC has partnered with the state since 2005, and most recently redesigned that state’s official Web portal,, which ranked fourth in the annual “Best of the Web” competition ranking of all 50 state websites. The company will continue to provide e-government services using a transaction-funded solution. This model provides e-government services to the state without using appropriated taxpayer budget dollars.

South Carolina Interactive, LLC has worked with over 450 state agencies, higher education institutions, courts and local governments to deliver convenient online services. Currently, the company manages more than 1,000 interactive services through A member of the NIC Inc. (NASDAQ: EGOV) family of companies, the company has developed a variety of online services, websites, and mobile applications for the state, including the Online Customer Service Portal for the Department of Natural Resources which allows customers to purchase hunting and fishing licenses online, by phone and at authorized sales vendors, the Online Complaint Filing System for the Department of Consumer Affairs which allows citizens and businesses to file and respond to complaints online and the UCC Online application for the Office of the Secretary of State which allows businesses and citizens to file, search and retrieve uniform commercial code documents online at any time.
